FOR EVERYONE
Q: For which types of phones is the app available?
A: The app is designed for iPhone and Android phones.
Q: How do I download the RFID Connect smartphone app?
A: Go to iTunes or Google Play and search the apps section for "RFID Connect."
We also provide links on our event Web sites.
Q: What username and password should I use for the app?
A: You need to use the same user name and password you use to access the
RFID Connect Web site. If you forget your password, click on Help in the top navigation
bar on the Web site, or on "Forgot your password?" on the phone app's login screen.
Q: How do I take advantage of RFID Connect's mobile app?
A: The app is designed to work with the RFID Connect Web site. When you register
for one of our events, you will be able to view the agenda on the RFID Connect Web
site and add sessions to your planner. You will be able to add exhibitors you want
to see to your to-do list, as well as request meetings with speakers, other attendees
and exhibitors. These will automatically be synched with the phone app. At the event,
you can view your personal event planner on the phone. You can also search the agenda
and add additional sessions, add more to-dos and set up meeting reminders. Perhaps
most important, you will be able to view an interactive floor plan on your phone.
Click on any booth to see that exhibitor's profile. You can also filter the exhibitor
list and booths on the floor plan, either by product category (tags, readers, software
and so forth) or by the industry solutions they offer (health care, retail, etc.).
Please see the video "Finding the Right Exhibitors," on the left, to see how this
is done. We have created a series of videos for attendees and for exhibitors. Please
visit the RFID Connect smartphone Help
page to view short videos.
Q: Is my privacy protected?
A: Each member of RFID Connect can set his or her own preferences. You can
hide your contact information, share it with everyone or share it with only those
on your contact list within RFID Connect. If you attend an event, you can also choose
whether to share your contact information with the exhibitors you plan to visit.
Please read our Privacy Statement
for additional information.
Q: How up-to-date is the information in the smartphone app?
A: The agenda and other information on the RFID Connect Web site are updated
every night. Exhibitors may update their profiles at any time. Each time the smartphone
app connects to the server, it downloads any updates in order to ensure that you
have the most up-to-date information in the palm of your hand.
Q:How can my company sponsor the smartphone app?
A: Please contact your sales representative for advertising and sponsorship
opportunities.
Q: How can I use the RFID Connect smartphone app to get more leads
at an event?
A: The key is to use the RFID Connect Web site during the month prior to
the event. If you visit the event Web site and click on "See Who's Coming," you
will see a list of companies sending representatives to an event. If there is a
company you have a solution for, type its name in the RFID Connect search engine.
You will see the names of attendees from that company. You can then send them a
request for a meeting, or an e-mail asking them to visit your booth.
Q: How can I get my company listed among the exhibitors in RFID Connect?
A: We add all exhibitors to the RFID Connect Web site and smartphone app
automatically. However, you must create a profile before you can be added. All exhibitors
are automatically given a Gold-level membership.
Q: How do I get my company listed by product category and industry
solutions?
A: The smartphone app pulls information from each exhibitor's profile, which
you should have filled out on the RFID Connect Web site. Be careful to choose only
the products you actually sell and the industry solutions you actually provide.
Adding items you don't actually offer will be counterproductive, since you will
wind up fielding queries from attendees who are not potential customers, thereby
limiting your time available to speak with those interested in your solutions.
