Q: What is RFID Connect?
A: RFID Connect is RFID Journal’s social-networking and event-planning
site. End users, solutions providers, academics, consultants and other business
professionals can use it to network. Individuals can create blogs, and companies
can post press releases. If you are attending one of our events, you can search
for sessions that you would like to attend and exhibitors you want to visit. RFID
Connect provides an opportunity tointeract with speakers and attendees before the
event. The site now also has extensive product listings allowing you to search for
specific solutions to meet your business needs.
Q: How is RFID Connect different from the Buyer's Guide at rfidjournal.com?
A: RFID Connect has replaced RFID Journal’s Buyer’s Guide. We'veadded
additional features, the ability to list products with photos, specification sheets
and much more in-depth presentation.
Q: Why should I bother filling out my profile?
A: Your profile is how people will find you, and that's the whole point of
a social-networking site. It's also the first impression you give when interacting
with colleagues, potential business partners and employers within the community,
which is why you will benefit from having a complete and up-to-date profile. Company
and individual profiles are indexed in the search engine. Someone searching for
a reader company, for instance, or for an apparel industry end user, would be able
to find you in orderto make business connectionsif you fill out your profile.
Q: Do you share my contact information with everyone?
A: Each member of RFID Connect can set his or her own preferences. You can
hide your contact information, share it with everyone or share it with only those
on your contact list within RFID Connect. If you attend an event, you can also choose
whether to share your contact information with the exhibitors you plan to visit.
