Looking Ahead: Exciting Things to Come in 2011 by Dennis Khoo, CEO, Xerafy
January 10, 2011
2011 is shaping up to be another busy and exciting year. With the economic doldrums behind us, the outlook for RFID is poised for rapid growth through the next few years according to new market data just released by all major research firms such as VDC Research, ABI Research and IDTech Ex.
Following an initial “validation phase” focusing on logistics applications, the growing acknowledgement of the benefits of RFID in a wider variety of applications, advancements in RFID technology, and reductions in manufacturing costs will drive the expansion of the industry to serve new and differentiated verticals.
In 2010, we were concerned with launching our website and getting our engineering prototypes to production; this year, we are looking at high revenue growth and change.
One of the most challenging issues facing organizations today is change, and one thing for certain, this is going to be a transformational year for Xerafy.
I feel very excited, because first of all, Xerafy is in great shape. We certainly have made our mark in the market with our technology and have aligned with more than 80 partners and alliances worldwide in 30 countries to take advantage of the market growth. We saw real growth in embedded RFID applications which enable suppliers to reduce costs in their supply chain while providing functionality and inventory management benefits to their customers.
Some of early opportunities we have been following for the past year are finally moving into implementation stage and this quarter, we expect not one but two new product launches.
Thanks to the market feedback from our online tag survey, we were able to tweak our products to match our customers’ needs and expectations, and while we were at it, create a new product line to boot.
Look for new and exciting things from Xerafy in the coming weeks and months!
